Instrumental: The 7890B gas chromatograph equipped with a flame ionization detector (Agilent) is ideal for the analysis of waxes. Hydrogen was used as a carrier gas. Compounds were separated on DB-5 or VF-5ht (30m × 0.25mm, 0.1µm, Agilent) capillary columns.
