HPLC-UV analysis of octenal and octenoic acid in soil

Amounts of octenal and octenoic acid in soil were determined using Dionex Ultimate 3000 RS HPLC which consisted of a quaternary pump, autosampler, column department, and diode-array detector. Analytes were separated on Acclaim C18 column (150 × 2.1 mm, 2.2 µm, Dionex) using acetonitrile/water with 0.1% acetic acid gradient.
